NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Crawford will hold its Town Board meeting on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 7:00 P.M. in person at the Crawford Senior and Community Center, 115 State Route 302, Pine Bush, New York. In addition, the public may attend this meeting via remote ZOOM videoconference, as described further below.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that persons who attend the meeting via Zoom will be able to see and hear the meeting, but will not be able to make or submit oral or written comments during the meeting. Any person who attends by Zoom and who wishes for his or her comment to be heard during a public hearing or the public comment session can send his or her comments in advance of the meeting to [email protected] or call 845-744-2020 by no later than 4:00 PM on March 18, 2021.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Town of Crawford Town Board will hold a public hearing at the Crawford Senior and Community Center, located at 115 State Route 302, Pine Bush, New York 12566, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 7:00 PM inviting public comments and suggestions regarding projects to be considered for Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding under the Orange County Office of Community Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program. Under the CDBG program a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, those listed below can potentially be eligible for funding:
The Town of Crawford will be considering projects to be submitted to the Orange County Community Development Office’s CDBG Entitlement Program. The deadline for which is Friday, April 2, 2021.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Crawford will hold a public hearing for a use variance for construction of a single family home at the vacant property, designated as 22-1-77.12 on the Tax Map of the Town of Crawford in the BP Zoning District, owned by Marko Curanovic. Said hearing will take place on March 3, 2021, at 7:30 P.M. at 121 Route 302, Pine Bush, NY.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Crawford will hold a public hearing on March 3, 2021 at 7:30 pm at 121 Route 302, Pine Bush, NY to consider the application of Kenneth Morelli for an interpretation of a violation of Zoning Ordinance 137-30 Site Plan Approval of the Town Zoning Law.
The applicant is appealing the decision of the Building Inspector, who issued a Notice of Violation for an illegal apartment with a kitchen in a single-family home, which is not a permitted use within the Town of Crawford. The property is located at 544 Winding Hills Road, designated as 17-1-57.2 on the tax map of the Town of Crawford in the RA zoning district. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard. Written comments may also be submitted to: Zoning Board of Appeals, Town of Crawford, 121 Route 302, Pine Bush, NY 12566.

Inspections for work completed are normally done between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
The Town of Crawford now requires that a post be placed at the end of each driveway with the 911 number or street address on it. Please contact the Building Department for a copy of the specifications.
Building permits are needed for anything built. Examples are: dwellings, garages, additions, decks, porches, pools, sheds, etc. A fee will be charged. Applications can be picked up at Town Hall Mon-Fri 8:30-4:00.
Permits are required for yard sales. No fee is required.
Carbon Monoxide Detectors
A New York State law has just been passed that all dwellings must have at least one carbon monoxide detector in place before the bedroom of the first floor.
No unregistered vehicles are allowed on any property in any zone.
Crawford Sign Law
It’s that time of the year where yard sales and social events are abundant. PLEASE NOTE: that pursuant to section §137-17 Town of Crawford Code, a permit(s) is required for ALL signage. Signs are to be placed ONLY on the property where you conduct business. It is prohibited to put signs on utility poles, street signs, traffic devices, etc.
Pursuant to section §68-5 of the Town of Crawford Code, it is the responsibility of the owner or occupant of every parcel to maintain the grass/weeds on their property. Failure to maintain property will result in the Town charging the property owner for all expenses incurred.
Lawns must be trimmed along sidewalks.
The property owner is responsible for their sidewalk snow removal.
